About Dr. Hettiarachchi

Dr. Hettiarachchi was born in Sri Lanka, raised in London and educated in New York. He's been to every continent except Antarctica in the capacity of either a physician or a traveler. His experiences around the world helped him to appreciate the different standards and treatment options for urological diseases. He knew he could bring world-class urological care to any city in the world. He chose the community of Wilkesboro, North Carolina. He chose it for the wonderful people, the beautiful scenery, the pleasant climate and the great quality of life.

Dr. Hettiarachchi lives in North Wilkesboro with his wife Catharina and their four children. He and his family are happy to be a part of the Wilkesboro community since 2003, and are grateful for the appreciation and warm acceptance the community has given them. When he is not helping his patients or travelling the world with his family, Dr. Hettiarachchi enjoys competing in triathlons and marathons.

In addition to his private practice, Dr. Hettiarachchi is proud to serve patients at Wilkes Regional Medical Center in North Wilkesboro as well as Lake Norman Regional Medical Center in Mooresville, NC.
